Monday night was the third trophy competition of the season and like the previous competition the number of overall entries was disappointing.
Kathy Chantler, our CACC judge for the evening, gave us her friendly and concise critique of all the images, appraising each one thoroughly and giving all members constructive ideas on how to improve their work.
The winner on the night with Judges’ Choice for the print section was Peter Parrey with his image ‘I’m not Looking’. Judges’ Choice for the PDI section was ‘People in Sport – Keeping an Eye on the Ball’ by David Gibbs. Six other entries were awarded Commend and Highly Commended status.
Next was the Aggregate Round 3 competition, where we had 16 entries. Here the Judges Choice and winning image was ‘Mirror Mirror…..’ a reflection of a Greater Spotted Woodpecker by Caroline Petch. So, congratulations to Peter, David and Caroline on their success and to all the members who contributed images for this round of the competitions.
