The annual John Judd Creative Competition got underway on Monday evening and was judged by Lloyd Moore from Kings Langley.
During the preparation for the competition the Society’s computer failed and John Culling, our internal competitions secretary, used his own Laptop to display the images. This had to be done without the normal competition software facilities. John did a splendid job and was able to show the images very successfully and to the judges’ satisfaction.
There was an excellent set of Prints and PDIs that kept the judge on his toes and made his choices challenging. There were 12 Prints and 24 PDIs.
John Culling won the Print section with his “Fruit” print and after much deliberation Alan Morgan won the PDIs competition with his “Shadow Dancing”.
The judge awarded many of the images with High Commendations and Commendations. These can be seen in the gallery below.
It was an excellent evening and good to see the high standard of the entries.
