Our first meeting at the Orchard View Farm went well with the meeting split into two parts. The first section was used to show the results of our ‘Alphabet Challenge in Nature’, where members images were projected onto a screen for comment. This challenge turned out to be far more complex than we all thought, so well done to those members who made an effort and entered images.
The second part of the meeting was devoted to up-dating and editing images that had been critiqued by judges in an earlier club meeting – the whole idea being to see if these images could be made into competition quality images. This was led by John Culling who showed us through his work-flow in Photoshop and described the changes made to each image in-line with the initial critique. It was an interesting meeting and it demonstrated how photographs can be edited and improved to make a more pleasing image. Our sincere thanks to John Culling for his skilful presentation.
