The first meeting of PRPS was held on the 2nd of December 1963 in a little café, Granny’s Pantry, in the Market Square, Princes Risborough. It was attended by twenty people who had responded to newspaper- advertisements and public notices placed in local shop windows. A few weeks later a committee was elected, and the club was born.
This evening, 60 years on, one of those founder members, Mr Graham Humphries, who is still an active member of the society today, was presented with a gift to celebrate not only the club’s 60th Anniversary but his continuous and active service to the club throughout this time. Congratulations go to Graham from all club members.
