The evening was well supported by members who gave a warm welcome to the Judge, Peter Cox. We also extended a welcome to a guest who joined us for the evening. The Wainwright competition was judged as 2 parts: firstly prints and then the projected images. Following the break the Aggregate was judged as an Open competition. There were 43 entries.

The results were:

For Natural History Prints, the Judges Choice was “The Watchful Hunter” by Caroline Petch. Also 2 images were awarded Highly Commended and 2 images Commended.

For the Natural History PDI, the Judges Choice was “Beetle” by Barry Coxon. There were 2 images awarded Highly Commended and 2 images Commended.

In the Aggregate, the Judges Choice went to “Glass Wall” by Barry Coxon and 2 images were awarded Highly Commended and 2 Commended.

At the end of the evening the Judge complemented all the authors for the high standard of all the entries. We appreciate the balanced critiques given to us by Peter and value his insight.

Congratulations to everyone who took part and helped make the evening successful.

In particular well done to Barry for winning in 2 separate competitions and for Caroline winning with her print.
