5-June 24 – Snappers Group visit Yoesden Bank, Bledlow Ridge

The weather was reasonably bright with the threat of some cloud later in the morning, so we had great optimism for our visit to this very quiet and beautiful BBOWT site in the Chilterns. We were all looking forward to seeing at least some of the 28 species of Butterflies recorded here in the past, but it seems today, nobody told the butterflies we were visiting.

Never mind, the tranquility and views of this stunning valley more than made-up for the lack of butterflies on the day, instead, we had the opportunity to search for orchids, varieties of grasses and other wonderful wild flowers.
