Visit to Yoesden Bank

This morning the PRPS Snappers team – a group of 10 intrepid and keen photographers, converged on Yoesden Bank Nature Reserve in Bledlow Ridge. This was the groups first outing of the year, and although rather early in the season, you could just catch the first signs of Spring in the shrubs and grasses.

I must say it was good to be out in the fresh air with like-minded people, and with camera in hand, although I must say from a personal point-of-view, getting to grips with a large Nikon DSLR with a 500mm lens attached, felt more like a workout at the local gym than a gentle stroll around this lovely, compact Nature Reserve.  

The whole point of the visit, especially for those members who’d never visited before, was to see what was available in our local area – this must be one of the best places to visit during the Summer months to see wonderful butterflies and wild flowers.

Today, will be considered a worthwhile visit if members return again during the year and capture some wonderful images of nature in this area.
