This was the second trophy competitions of the season and it was disappointing to see so few images in the print and DPI section. Collectively we had just 12 images for the judge to review – 8 (PDI’s) and 4 prints.  The Aggregate Round 2 competition was a little better supported with 22 PDIs.

Keith Stoneman, from Woodley was our CACC judge for the evening, and his critique of the images was positive and delivered in a kind, informative, and concise manner and he gave sound advice on how he thought many of the images could be improved.

The winner on the night with Judges’ Choice for the print section was John Culling with his image ‘Flower Lady’. Judges’ Choice for the PDI section was ‘Eye on the Colour of Humanity’ by Barry Coxon. Six other entries were awarded Highly Commended and Commended status.

So, congratulations to John and Barry on their success and to all the members who submitted images for this competition.

We then got underway with the Aggregate Round 2 competition and here the Judge’s Choice was awarded to David Gibbs for his image ‘Moorhen takes Chase’. Six other images were awarded Highly Commended and Commended status.
